I've always known that common everyday people started online businesses. But, for me, I didn't know the difference between my eyes and eye balls when it came to building web sites.

As we all know, there are soooo many "get rich quick" schemes out there. Learning this made me ask myself, "is it really possible?" Making money at home was well worth the research to find out.

So, the first step I made was to dive into the search engines and research on how to start a business online. At that particular time, I didn't know what I wanted to do on the web.

I did more research and discovered affiliate marketing Affiliate marketing is a way of promoting other web businesses (merchants/advertisers). If visitors to the web site buy what ever you're promoting, then you get a percentage of that sale.

Now, a benefit to this is you won't need to worry about inventory, production costs, or customer service. All you need to do is promote the web site by placing an ad or link to the merchant's website on your website.

Affiliate programs are very easy to join and the good news is there are no start-up costs. Just about every web merchant has an affiliate program, in just about every category that will be relevant to your website, specialty, or activity.

This is when I learned about Site Build It! (SBI!) As I’ve said before, we've all seen the ads on TV. The ads would say things like, "I'll show you how to make "X" amount of dollars for little or nothing using my system!"

The trick is to persuade you into buying their "system", before actually finding out what it is you need to know in order to make any money. Sure, they'll show you tons of testimonies of different people who have tried their "system", saying that they’re making a huge amount of money.

However, if you analyze those infomercials closely, you’d notice that they never actually tell you what THAT "system" really is. Compared to most online business opportunities SBI (Praise the LORD) is the total opposite.The very first thing that caught my eye with Site Build It! was something they said in their introduction page that I will NEVER forget.

They said and I quote, "You will not read insulting words like "Get-Rich-Quick". No false promises like "fast and easy." You will read words like "working smart" and "knowledge" and "passion" and "time investment" and "flexibility" and "community" and "support" and "guidance" and "monetization.”

SBI teaches you how to research and use keywords that internet surfers are using to find your web site. The best part I like is that they offer you a free e-book (Authored by Ken Evoy) called "The Affiliate Masters Course"

This e-book is a free online course that shows you exactly how to use their services as well as teach you what makes an online business a success. The reason I love this so much is because it's SBI's! way of showing their potential customers that they are legit .

Building this web site gives me the benefit of educating the general public on acid reflux and the different treatments that are offered. My web site is still a bit fairly new, but within the last four months my web site has received over 8000 page views.

With no TV commercials, no ads in the newspapers, and not one corporate partner, all of this success is thanks to Solo Build It! SBI has been a benefit in my life.
